WorkDiary AI is an intelligent internship companion engineered to help users track their work hours, summarize daily progress using artificial intelligence, and compile professional internship reports. We value your privacy and are committed to ensuring your personal information is protected under clear, transparent standards.

2. Information We Collect

To deliver the core capabilities of WorkDiary AI, we collect and store the following types of information:

• Account Details: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and cryptographically hashed passwords.
• Internship Logs: Information relating to your internship configurations (e.g., job titles, host companies, start/end dates) and daily log logs (e.g., titles, hours logged, category tags).
• Rough Diary & Voice Notes: The raw text entries or transient voice recording sessions you provide. Please note that audio files are processed immediately for speech-to-text transcription and are **never** stored permanently on our backend databases.

3. How We Process and Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

• AI Summarization: Your rough notes are forwarded to secure, specialized Artificial Intelligence language models via secure APIs to compile clean, professionally phrased summaries. Your logs are never used to train public models.
• Report Generation: We aggregate your hourly logs and summaries to export professional PDF reports for presentation to academic supervisors or employers.
• Service Improvement: Resolving errors, debugging performance issues, and updating the application workspace structure.

4. Data Deletion and Control Controls

We believe you have absolute ownership of your data. The App provides two direct data governance controls available under the **Settings** menu on both Web and Mobile platforms:

• Clear All Data: Instantly wipes all logged internships, diary logs, aggregated reports, and system notifications from our database. Your user account remains active.
• Delete Account: Permanently removes your user credentials, configuration details, and all logged history from our servers. This action is irreversible.
• Data Export: Allows you to download a complete, structured JSON backup of your entire internship history at any time.

5. Data Security

We execute best-in-class security measures to prevent unauthorized data access, loss, or alteration. All communication with our servers is encrypted using HTTPS and WebSockets (WSS). Passwords are encrypted on register and login.
